Over £3,000 was raised in the 3rd annual Shakedown at Moseley Green Allotments on the 9th July.
Our thanks go to everyone that made the 3rd annual Summer Shakedown family festival a success!
With wall to wall (or allotment to allotment) zorbing, world food, music, face painting, family, friends and good vibes, we raised a massive £3,300 for the MKF. Thank you!
The Summer Shakedown (recently renamed because there’s now seasonal shakedown sessions) was a fitting tribute to Matt and his legacy and gets bigger and better every year.
We’re also delighted that the Somali community, led by MKF Trustee Dr. Jamil, held a fundraising football tournament at the same time.
So, roll on next year. The Summer Shakedown will be held on the 1st July 2017, once again at Moor Green Allotments in Moseley.
Can you help out?
The Shakedown is such a big event that we’re already planning for next year! There’s an army of volunteers giving their time and skills to make it happen. Can you help to organise musicians, sound engineering, cook, face paint, run sports, take professional pictures or video, distribute posters and leaflets, be a part of the organising committee or do anything entertaining? We’d love to hear from you!
If you can help in anyway, please contact the Foundation on firstname.lastname@example.org . Thanks!
